Originating from the Qashqai and Luri tribes in southwest Iran, Loribaft Carpets are renowned for their timeless and artful patterns. With roots in traditional designs, some pieces also feature more contemporary looks. Unlike Gabbeh carpets, these rugs stand out due to their tighter knots and shorter pile.

Crafted in India, these rugs are made using naturally dyed New Zealand wool, showcasing a palette of bold and vibrant colors. While Persian carpets typically use wool for the warp, Indian creations often employ cotton. You might even find silk elements woven into some pieces, adding a touch of elegance.

Ordering

You can easily place an order online, if you encounter a problem you can place it via email or phone.

  • Use a rug pad to prevent slipping, wear and tear, and add extra plushness.
  • Vacuum regularly using a low suction vacuum or an automatic vacuum like a Roomba.
  • Avoid beater bars or rotating brushes, and be gentle near fringes.
  • Rotate your rugs to prevent color fading and ensure even wear.
  • Shedding is normal for wool rugs or rugs with long fibers.
  • Don't pull any yarn coming out of the rug, instead cut it with scissors. 
  • Act quickly on spills by blotting them with a clean, undyed cloth.
  • Avoid rubbing and using chemicals. For major spills, consult a professional rug cleaner.
