  • Use a rug pad to prevent slipping, wear and tear, and add extra plushness.
  • Vacuum regularly using a low suction vacuum or an automatic vacuum like a Roomba.
  • Avoid beater bars or rotating brushes, and be gentle near fringes.
  • Rotate your rugs to prevent color fading and ensure even wear.
  • Shedding is normal for wool rugs or rugs with long fibers.
  • Don't pull any yarn coming out of the rug, instead cut it with scissors. 
  • Act quickly on spills by blotting them with a clean, undyed cloth.
  • Avoid rubbing and using chemicals. For major spills, consult a professional rug cleaner.
